Scandic Sourcing’s staff have gone on an inspection trip to a supplier of windscreens intended for subway cars, in Zhenghzou, in Henan district, acting on an order from TD Rail and Industry. The latest inspection trip is one in a long row of inspections in Zhengzhou. The windscreens have been delivered to Sweden by request from the Stockholm Metro.

Scandic Sourcing is helping Copenhagen Malmö Port and Malmö City Council work closely in contacts with China. These contacts include Chinese government and associations, Chinese companies in the business segments of vehicles, logistics, processing machines, ‘green’ energy such as wind power and other so-called clean technology. With our assistance, CMP has made numerous visits to cities and regions in China, and Chinese delegations have visited CMP in both Copenhagen and Malmö. Most significantly, the relationship between CMP and Hebei/Shenzhen is continuously developing. Agreements have been signed with the ports in both regions which make CMP a selected partner and pave the way for new business opportunities. Big companies from Hebei and Shenzhen are having conversations with CMP about them expanding to Scandinavia to conduct business. It’s a long process, but CMP is anticipating further collaboration to commence soon.

Scandic Sourcing has received the 2012 Swedish Chamber of commerce Innovation price for its Supplier Code of conduct program. The code of conduct program is a continuous improvement program to align Chinese sub-suppliers with Westerns values in labor, safety and environmental practices in manufacturing operations.It has been tested extensively within Delaval China.
The award was presented by Swedish Minister of Trade Dr. Eva Björling at a Cermony at Qinghua University in connection with a the recent state visit.
Scandic Sourcing has completed delivery of air handling systems for Danske Stadsbaner (Danish State Railway) or DSB, Denmark in cooperation with TD Rail and Industry, Sweden. The air handling systems have been installed on the DSB IC4 inter-city train, built by the Italian company AnsaldoBreda. The delivery was done in 5 batches during 2011 and 2012.
Scandic Sourcing has completed delivery of an order to Bombardier in cooperation with TD Rail and Industry, Sweden. The order was for 120 different parts for a renovation project for Green Cargo RC2 locomotives.
TD Rail and Industry provides design and solutions to the rail industry.
